Eco @ St Michael’s

At St. Michael’s we not only want to encourage our church community to become more environmentally conscious in their everyday lives, but we are striving to set the example by following Eco-Church strategies.

We are following A Rocha UK’s programme, which equips churches in England and Wales to care for creation.

A Rocha provides many resources (all available here) and gives churches areas to focus on.

Eco Church Award

A Rocha helps churches by focussing on Worship & Teaching, Management of Church Buildings, Management of Church Land, Community & Global Engagement, and Lifestyle factors.

To help inspire churches, A Rocha have an Eco Church Award scheme. St Michael’s has just achieved the Bronze Eco Church Award! We are very proud of the beginning changes we are making to our environment and look forward to pushing forward for the Silver Award.
