Revd Stephen Kuhrt is one of Gordon and Olive Kuhrt’s three sons. Some may remember Gordon who was Archdeacon of Lewisham from 1989-1996 during which time Stephen was part of the St Michael’s church family. He trained for ordination at Trinity college, Bristol. He has been Vicar Of Christ Church New Maldon since 2007 and has contributed a number of books to the Grove series. He is the author of ‘Tom Wright for Everyone’ and ‘Safeguarding the Institution.’ Alongside his father and brother (Revd Martin Kuhrt) Stephen was well known and respected in the evangelical tradition. As he has continued to reflect and especially while writing his most recent book Stephen has revised his understanding of scripture in relation to human sexuality.

Revd Dr Ian Paul is originally from S.E London, he studied pure maths at St John’s College, Oxford and applied maths (Operational Research) at the University of Southampton. He trained for ordination at St John’s College, Nottingham, where he also studied for his PhD. He was on the staff of St Mary’s Longfleet, Dorset for ten years and has been on the editorial board of Grove Books since 1993. In 2004 he returned to St John’s, Nottingham, to teach New Testament and Practical Theology and was Dean of Studies from 2005 to 2012. Since 2016 he has been Adjunct Professor of Fuller Theological Seminary, California. He also hosts the award winning Phephizo blog. He is a member of the General Synod of the Church of England and the Archbishop’s Council.
