About

At St Michael’s there is a place for everyone. We are a Church of England parish church, bringing together local people of every kind in a community that genuinely cares for each other and for the people around. People come from all ages, backgrounds and lifestyles.

St Michael’s is a safe place to be starting on a journey to explore faith, to ask questions and think about spiritual issues.

It is also somewhere to find answers, make friends, serve the local community, and meet the God who comes to us in Jesus Christ.

We are warm, friendly and down to earth, where practical care goes on every day. We encourage everyone to use their God-given gifts to serve and care for others, both within and beyond the church.

Our current membership is around 180 adults, with many children and teenagers, and a range of thriving groups and activities for young people. However, we also work hard to make sure St Michael’s is a place for everyone, not just families.

Our services contain a variety of new and traditional music, with an all age service on the first Sunday of each month. Children go out for their groups after 15 minutes on other Sundays. The evening service is smaller and quieter. There is always a sermon to help us explore eternal truths about God, and to apply them to the ups and downs of everyday life.

Tea and coffee after the morning service is a great time to catch up with one another.

If you would like to find out more, come along any Sunday, or email Carolyn, our Pastoral Lay Minister, or contact Marion in the Church Office.

St Michael’s is part of the Diocese of Southwark. Want to know more? Have a flip through their monthly newspaper below…
