Award-winning poet Raymond Antrobus joins Mark Oakley to discuss his memoir The Quiet Ear, exploring deafness, identity and the D/deaf cultural figures who inspired him. Hear about his experiences growing up deaf and the importance of representation. This event includes a BSL interpreter and offers a thoughtful evening of conversation and poetry.

Breaking not Broken | Timothy Goode in conversation with the Dean of Southwark – Thursday September 17, 6.30pm

The Revd Canon Timothy Goode joins the Dean of Southwark to discuss his new book, Breaking not Broken: Ableism and the Church after Constantine. Drawing on theology and lived experience, Goode explores how ableism has shaped Christian ideas of bodies, healing and belonging, and considers how the Church might rediscover vulnerability, interdependence and grace.
