We are a Church of England Church in Blackheath. Many of our members live nearby, but a significant number come from further afield. There is a warmth and friendliness about the people of St Michael’s that often makes visitors want to stay and become part of things.
As well as lots of children and teenagers, we have people of every age, and our services contain a wide variety of modern songs and more traditional hymns. Our principal service is at 10.30 am on a Sunday morning at which there is provision for children and young people of all ages, including a creche for the under-3s and different groups for 3-6s, 7-11s and 11+. Evening services at 6.30pm are quieter, and once a month there is a communion service according to the Book of Common Prayer at 9am and a special service at 5pm for children of Primary School age and under.
We have a number of home groups and a wide variety of different social events and activities which we hope together provide something for everyone and draw our church community together.
In all our services we aim to worship the Living God and learn from the Bible together, because we believe it is the primary way in which God helps and guides us in our lives.
Why not come along one Sunday and see for yourself?
