Talk: Where does God dwell? Ephesians 2:19-3:6
Speaker: John Clark
Doesn’t everyone want to be happy?
What’s more important than that?
‘Happiness’, like ‘love’ is often trivialised. But as this course explains, there are various ‘levels’ of happiness, from material ‘pleasure’ to the deeper reaches of relationships & meaning. This 4 session course explores: a happy life; a successful life; a relational life; a meaningful life. Sessions will link the science of happiness with ancient wisdom & real-life experience to give people practical tools to improve their own happiness. Happiness is personal, so we give people time to reflect on their own lives, & the opportunity to share with & encourage each other. The Happiness Course is based on a Christian understanding of life but you do not have to have a faith to do the course. The course will run at St Michael's on Tuesday 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th February & cost: £20 (£5 per session) incl refreshments and all course materials.
The Bible Course for Lent – See the BIG picture.
The Bible Course will help you to understand the Bible for yourself. Over 8 sessions you will see the big picture of the Bible storyline, from Genesis to Revelation. Along the way you will pick up tools and skills to help you read it for yourself. Each session is interactive, with sections of teaching and a study exercise, and the course includes a helpful booklet.
