PRISM: Preserve, Restore, Improve St Michael’s
Our Church building is shut for renovation at the moment (our PRISM project), but our church services and church life are very much on-going! Do join us in the church hall, next to the church, for our services.
PRISM is a once-in-a-generation project to restore and improve the church building externally and internally. The exterior stonework has been deteriorating and we need to act now to preserve and restore it. This includes the gargoyles, pinnacles, the east window, the iconic tower and steeple known as the Needle of Kent.
Internally, we are planning modern heating and lighting and will make the church a more welcoming and open place for better community use, with glass porches, better wheelchair access, improvements to the dais, viewing line & safer galleries. Follow the link here for more details including how to donate.
All Church Services are being held in the Church Hall whilst the church restoration work is underway (enter church hall via church driveway on Pond Road)
